Hi there, just wondered if anyone can help..

I brought my son a vodafone for his birthday. Then I discovered that the Vodafone network is just to expensive if he wants to txt all his mates on 027.  Discovered that with 2degrees he can txt any network which is fantastic... My problem lies here...

With the Vodafone sim he was able to go online to Facebook and Twitter. When we changed over we put all the settings in for 2degrees internet browsing and paid the $6.00 to get 50mg as he wouldnt be on it all the time.. It just will not work..

I have followed all the settings advice that 2degrees sent me, restarted the phone and nothing,. Has anyone else had this situation and fixed it.  The phone is quite a good one with the qwerty keyboard and is capable of being more than just a txt machine.. Am disapointed for my son who has been ill and it is his way of keeping in contact with the world...

The phone is a Vodafone 546... it is the white one... it is listed as being able to work online with a 2degrees sim.

2degrees also sent me the set up instructions from vodafones site and we followed it to the letter.  This phone is supposed to be able to do this... I must just be missing something.. Even the 2degrees store guy couldnt get it to wok..

Anyone??? Any ideas...

Thank you in advance

We've had problems with getting the internet working on this phone.

Wap/Internet settings are configurable, however every 546 we've come across so far comes up with an error network error after changing the settings.

We believe the internet function is somehow network locked.

PS Can you PM me your number so I can look into this further. Cheers
