As of last night I am unable to receive TXT messages from any network (tested Telecom, Vodafone and 2 degrees) on my  Huaweu Ideos. If I send a message to someone sitting beside me they get it straight away, but if they reply it never comes through.

I have tried some basic troubleshooting such as turning the phone off and on, putting it into Airplane mode, turning it off and removing battery, but still no messages.

Anything else I should try? I have tried calling 2 Degrees mobile but unable to get through in a timely manner.

Other details that may be helpful, I'm located in the Wellington City Central area, and I can still make and receive phone calls, browse internet, everything other than receive txt messages.

It seems your SMSC has been corrupted or erased. To reset it -

Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone Information
Scroll down to bottom of screen and there is an SMSC setting
Enter +64220227672 and then click update

Hope this helps.

If I enter in +6422027672 into the SMSC box i get the text 'update error' in the text box. However when I press the refresh button the text "+64220227672",145 appears in text box.

Another observation, when I put the sim card into the another phone TXT messages are received.

2DegreesCare is such an apt user name to be honest. That sort of username is usually just talk, but you guys really bring the Service back into Customer Service.
