I'm down in the SI visiting some relatives, who are with Slingshot for their internet. I'm trying to help them fix a few minor issues but am getting a little stuck. Rather than spending forever waiting on hold to their helpdesk, I thought I would ask here as I'm sure some people will be more in the know than me! They live in a rural area, about 2 k's from the exchange, but their speeds aren't too bad (as good as can be expected for an ADSL1 connection).
Issues:
(a) every time their phone rings or someone uses the phone, the DSL signal drops off, and has to reacquire. I'm not sure how to fix this one, as they have filters on all their jackpoints as far as I know.
(b) does the Slingshot website give a breakdown of usage (ie, sites visited), or is it just an amount of MB used presented on the page, as in how Xtra does it?
(c) their billing plan seems to start and end on the same day - which one would be correct?
