What do you recommend for setting up a new account and getting the best deal on a new Ideos X5.

At the moment DSE have the phone for $30 less than the 2degrees official price, but might I be able to get a better deal direct at one of their stores?

Don't think so as they had an offer a while ago where the X5 was $469 and that was quickly withdrawn and replaced with the $150 top up promo that I used to get phone for $399

Plus this is just a general 15% off voucher from the mailer that can be used on any purchase

Yeah I looked at that but I don't know if you can get the 15% off plus get the rebate for joining an on account plan for a year via Warehouse Stationary.

Ah I see, didn't realise you wanted to go pay monthly. Don't think you can at WHS

I outright jsut bought an X5 from WHS with the $150 credit offer last month or when ever it was, I also bought a $5 prepay sim, went home activated it, ported my number via the interwebz, the following day changed over from prepaid to pay monthly via interwebz easy peasy no hassle whatsoever.

Buy the phone form whom ever gives you the best deal do the rest online afterwards

I've sent you a PM too, but feel free to call me and I'll talk you through the details and get you signed up.

Cheers,
Stuart.

Ended up getting the on account at WHS for 12 months and they did the 15% phone discount after the handset credit from 2degrees was taken off so in the end I got the X5 for about $381 which I'm quite happy with.

Now I need to go away and charge it up.
