Has anyone else had their entire cap used in a very short period?

I'm on the 25gb adsl plan and all of my traffic was used up in 2 days and I wasn't downloading (to my knowledge) at all during peak hours. I checked my wireless router to ensure no unknown mac addresses were connected and found nothing. I also checked the bandwidth usage on all of my PCs and there didn't appear to be anything untoward happening.

I ended up raising a ticket with Slingshot via email and received the following response:

Hi Nick

Thank you for using Slingshot's Online Help.

There is a known issue with broadband data that we are working on fixing at the moment. We appreciate your patience.

I hope this helps to resolve your query. If it does not, please do not hesitate to reply to this email or to contact us on 0800 89 2000.

Kind regards,

Emma Goodrick

So I am now unsure what to do. Do I need to ring them to get my usage fixed or just wait to see what happens? I am unsure if I am capped as some sites were not loading and the speed appears to vary; speedtest was showing 3mbps to an NZ server after the cap had reached 100%.

Using Slingshot's speedtest:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 17173 kbps (2146.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 816 kbps (102 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 25 ms
Jitter: 4 ms
Packet Loss: 0 %

So I don't appear to be capped but speeds to certain servers appear to be congested

I lost 5GB in 2 hours with Slingshot and was capped 2 days into my month. To make matters worse the admins on the slingshot forums gave me all this nonsence about delayed metering meaning i got more data than i had paid for. I simply moved providers and notified the commerce commission. Hopefully the Commerce commision will take some action over this.

I have wondered. Few times if off peak does not get excluded. I have had a few times when I have used more data then expected. I just put it down to Automator not shutting utorrent down.

It would be nice if they had a usage meter like every other ISP I have been with that you can actually see what was used and when
