I am on a plan that has 50MB of national data each month. Occasionally I might use more than that so I will purchase as 50MB national data pack for $6.

But this usage does not show up in the USSD query which is a bit concerting when the plan data is low. All I am told is Nat MB 2.0MB BB Zone MB 0 and nothing about the 50MB national data I paid for.

It does say see Your 2Degrees for all balances etc. but it's not that convenient to fire up the browser and check the total situation.

Why can't the USSD code show all balances?

Because there's only limited space available for the message (max 182 chars for ussd). Go to the data balances menu if you need to check postpay plan data.

Thanks. I worked out that I can get all data balances with the ussd code *100*3*3#.

That saves time interacting with the system.

*100*4*3# for data doesn't work for me but *100*3*3# for does. This is an on account phone.

[Update]

And *100*4*1# aske me to override my balance restrictions.

Does it work differently on a regular phone versus a smart phone (a N1 in this case)?

Looks like it's changed again since *100*3*3# gives me an account balance.

I needed *100*4*3# to get account data

Looks like a moving target!  Still USSD is so much better than text based queries I can put up with the changes.

No, just a minor muck-up the last time we changed the menu. There's an unused item at #2 to make the postpay options align with prepay. The unused item was missed accidentally.
