My friend is with 2D and he has a Nokia N900 but he can not check his account balance by dial *100#1#

Every time he dial that number,his phone appear the message" invalid number" 

Anyone here using Nokia on 2D?Do you having the same problem?and how do you check your acc balance without log in online?Thanks
