I've had a search of the forum however much of the info around 2degrees network is presumably out of date.

Does anyone know what type of network 2dergrees currently runs in comparison to Vodafone and to what extent they share services. Reason I ask is from today I've switched from Vodafone to 2degrees, and while download speeds seems to be largely the same, the upload has taken a large hit peaking at 360kbps where I was frequently getting 1500kbps upload before.

Have I perhaps not configured a setting correctly or is this expected?

At present we are not running HSUPA, which is why your upload speed has reduced.

Or is it more across the board and you are not running HSUPA at the moment (for technical reasons perhaps?), but have been in the past?

While Vodafone roaming you get the same service a Vodafone subscriber would get there with that handset. That is, GPRS for a 2G only handset or coverage, and HSPA/HSDPA/HSUPA for 3G handsets depending on what's enabled on the site in question.

All Vodafone NZ 3G sites are HSPA some are HSPA+ Dual carrier 43Mbps in Auckland and Wellington CBD

Thanks for that answer, I'll wait and be happy when it does kick in. It's not making a real difference for day to day tasks, thought it would kill RDP sessions but it seems to be working fine
