When I receive texts the time information on the text is the time my phone received it, not when the sender sent it! It can affect how I reply knowing how long ago the message was sent.

When I've been on other networks the time stamp showed when the text was sent, as I already know what time I received a message at, or are all phone companies now supplying less useful info to cover up how long a text takes to arrive.

I pretty sure I'm receiving them almost straight away, or as soon as turn phone on, just be nice to know how long ago text was sent. i.e. "Can you pick me up" and then you see text 2 hours old, don't just reply yes and take off.

I gone to view message details on phone, but it's same information.

Yep, if it's a time-critical message best bet is to reply or call back to check. It's cheaper than petrol.

9 cents is cheaper then 48 cents, and then they may not answer phone and cost you money without getting message in real time.

Just sent a test message through to 027. Sent message at 5.37pm. Turned on 027 phone at 5.40pm. Message on telecom phone had the 5.37pm time stamp on it, i.e time message sent.
I'm pretty sure when I first joined 2degrees it worked that way as well, looks like a recent change to me.

Just can't see why sent time cannot be provided, pretty sure use to be, telecom has no problems on 027, it's in emails on computer when email was sent, why the change??

Do you have an android phone, some androids have a bug were they actually don't look at the timestamp and look at the time you phone gets the message.

My U8150 suffers from the problem and its a real pain.

True; the PHONE can decide to display whatever it likes. And don't forget timezones!

Yes. LG-P500. What a pain. Glad to hear it's phone, thankyou. When first joined 2degrees was using old vodafone phone, waited for 2degrees to go 3G before upgrading phone.

Their are some fixes out their if you do a google search, didn't try any of them out at the time but might go investigate some now.

I think switching to Go sms or handsent sms worked for some people.

I'd noticed this, but didn't take much notice. I'm going to look into it now too...

My blackberry and another phone I had (which I cannot recall) both showed the time the message arrived never the time it was sent, if you can get into message details somewhere it usually shows when the message was sent
