Hi I am looking at buying a 2degrees usb modem
And I am about to switch to vodafone for broadband and getting their home complete wireless modem.
I heard that vodafone broadband complete modem takes 3g usb sticks.
http://www.vodafone.co.nz/broadband-wireless-router/
And it supports One USB/HSPA port (for Vodafone Mobile Broadband Vodem* access).
The modem supports these vodems K3750 (E169), K3715, K3765h, K3565z and K3765z.
But have anyone tried a 2degrees 3g usb stick with it???

Reason for asking
I bought my parents another Linksys SPA 942 Ip phone, which is not wireless compatible.
And they are looking at ditching homeline and broadband, and use 2d mobile + 2d 3g data instead.
We live in Auckland, so a 1g data pack will do for them, since they only check emails and call overseas relatives occasionally.
So to use that SPA 942 Ip phone, there are a few choices available,
1. Get a 2d MIfi wireless modem + a linksys wireless G-bridge WBP54G, making SPA 942 wireless compatible.
2. I give them my vodafone complete home broadband modem + getting a 2degrees usb or vodafone vodem.

But since I will be using 2degrees data pack anyway, so I really dont want to go off and get a vodem.
So there is a compatibility issue with 2d usb stick & vodafone complete broadband unit.

Thanks

MOBILE: Huawei P30
OTHER: Thinkpad E14 + Asus Vivobook + Intel NUC5i3 + A family of Raspberry Pi x 9 + Amazon Echo

The 2degrees stick is a Huawei E1552, so the Vodafone unit would need to support that model type.

you could also try putting a 2degrees sim in a vodafone deice. I know there can be some issues doing this when through a laptop due to the Vodafone Mobile Connect software, but i would assume the modem would just send AT commands to the device so it should just work by replacing the SIM.

If you're using a Vodem set the dial-up number to *99#.
If you were looking for a mobile wireless modem we've reduced the cost of the E5 Huawei Pocket Wifi to $99 - http://bit.ly/mXMCZP.
