Whelp color me unimpressed with Oorcon's new plans. I actually kind of like them, but it doesn't work for us and it's stuck the knife in their existing customers.

We're not moving phone companies, and we're not paying extra for VOIP we won't use. Not to mention the chunky caps - 80 jump to 130, nothing in between.

Their idea of voip isn't cheap either, paying 125 now for max up/down 105 cap, new plan would have us paying 130 max/max 80gig. Trading 20gigs for voip is a flying rip off, heck at their $2 a gig overage that's $50, way more than a phone line.

So who should I move to for ~100gig cap for ~$120 a month?

You can't get a PSTN line and all the same smartphone services for $50, let alone getting unlimited calling included. That'll be their comparison.

True, and if they were offering it along side a non-smartphone plan it would make heaps of sense. But charging people extra for services they don't want is not value. Also the option I quoted was their option for more cap on the base plan, if you take the option of unlimited calling that's just 55gigs for $130 a month. So trade $100 worth of gigs for a smartphone with unlimited calling.
