What are other people's opinions on the 2 Degrees 3G coverage in Wellington. I live in Ngaio and there is no 3G signal at all on my phone. I use my Wi-Fi router when at home of course but it's still a bug bear. I've got the IDEOS U8150 - could it be the phone?

I haven't noticed any real issues. Every network has weak places but overall I have had no issues.

I have a strong 2degrees 3G signal in Johnsonville when I use my USB modem with their SIM card, or one of my test handsets.

have you logged the coverage issue with 2degrees?
they will be able to tell you if there is anything planned for that area etc etc

also if you don't tell them, they can't look at fixing it :)

Any posts are personal comments and not that of my employer

I've used 2deg 3G at work in the CBD and in Johnsonville, a few blocks from Mauricio, coverage is fine. Given the age of the network and the terrain in that area i'm not at all surprised that some spots lack coverage.

The signal strength is limited in Aro Valley but no worse than Telecom XT.

Only place i have issues with signal is up at the kelburn vic campus. But even when i was on voda and telecom the coverage was bad. It think its cause there is way to many people in one area and they are all connecting to a single tower. HINT HINT 2D for your next cell site setup haha
