Hey guys!

I have a Nokia mobile with a 2degrees sim card.  I have pumped over $40 dollars in to it over the last two or three months.  I only switched to two degrees within the last 4 to 5 months.  I only ever use it in emergencies or when my girlfriend calls me.  I send the odd text and even call the odd person for an average of 30 seconds to confirm something.  This is only at most 3 times a month.

Yet, after a while, before I make a call I get a computer telling me I have less than 2 dollars credit.  I look at my log online to find I had used less than $5 credit over the two months.

What makes it weird is.  Two of the calls I made were under 30 seconds long and came up as "$0.00" the maximum being "$1.30"  My text messages over the two months added up to something like 3 dollars.

Does my credit expire after a month?  If so I was not aware.

I have just topped up again today.  I will see what happens and post an update.

Any recurring addon's to the account? Are you signed up to something like the $19 prepay monthly plan? Called Customer Support?

I am unaware of any addon's to the account.  I simply bought the 2 dollar sim card and shoved it in.  I just noticed recently, so I have not called customer support yet.

I will though :)

When you look at your 2degrees usage you have to switch between calls, SMS and data.

What handset is this? Are you sure your handset is not using 3G data? Absolutely sure?

+1 - it's probably the first thing I would have done. At least they can actually look at your account and usage - we, on the other hand, can not.

My phone is a dinosaur.  It was made just after texting was invented, let alone 3G.  When I looked at my usage, I had selected ALL usage.

Is customer service 24/7?  I made the post because it was 2AM, and if their customer service is as bad as Telecoms, I really can't be bothered lol.

check to see if you have any call forwading set - you may be diverting to something like VF voicemail on a handset activated call forward without realising.

If you haven't already checked your usage in Your 2degrees - https://secure.2degreesmobile.co.nz/web/ip/login or called Customer Care (available 24/7, 365 and free to call), please PM your 2? number, with DOB & address (for authentication) and I'll take a look what's happened to your credit.

We recommend customers check their usage in Your 2degrees before calling.

Thanks for replying!

I will call 2DegreesCare today if I get the time and update this issue.  I have checked my 2Degrees usage and like I said before, even when selecting the "ALL" option to select usage by type, the total usage only comes to 5 or 6 dollars worth of texts and calls combined for each month.

Thanks again!

David
