I just had my sim card swap twice two days in a roll... and still have no signal this morning....
i have being using 2degrees for over a year now, the no signal happened two month ago, but go fixed after sim card swap.
i do have a phone from overseas but everything was working great, it's a m8 from Meizu.
now the 2degrees ppl are saying my phone is crap and their sim card is working fine with any other phone.
so upset by this!!!!! yes my phone is almost 4years old, but it works fine!

Have you tried another carrier's prepay SIM (probably Vodafone, as they use the same frequency bands as us) in your phone? Have you tried your current SIM in another phone?

Could just be a loose connection in the sim cradle. Happens often, esp on old phones.

Another tip is to whack it on the table.

That's my tip for convincing the wife to let you buy a new phone, but I wouldn't recommend it as a tip to just get the SIM to work. :-D

would recommend you try out the m8 phone with another carrier's sim card.
I remember back in a couple of years my 3 years old NEC phone cant read any sim card in one day all of a sudden.

So if the SIM works fine in another handset why are you getting upset with 2Degrees??

So wait, your phone works fine, just fine, except unless you want to put in a SIM card in and use it?

I can certainly see how this is 2D's fault. So mean, cruel and nasty of them to tell you your phone is broken.

What they SHOULD have done is lie to you, tell you your phone is just fine and then secretly, in the night, snuck into your house and swapped your crappy busted up phone for a new one.

I hope you've learnt from this 2D. It's about customer service.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

From everything you have said it certainly sounds like your phone is at fault, but your comments suggest you are unwilling to accept this. If other phones get signal from 2D and they work with your SIM in them then the issue is not the SIM, or the 2D network. A process of eliminate says that the fault is in your phone.

Because you had Vodafone before this is totally irrelevant. Try a Vodafone SIM now - I bet that you still don't get service.

What did you do/say in the store after they told you that your SIM worked in another phone? Could it have been your actions and then their reaction to this that made you feel like the service you got wasn't very nice?

I'm picking you told them the phone was fine as it had worked previously (how many months ago???) on Vodafone and that it was their network or the SIM that was at fault, not your phone.

I think the same happened to my IDEOS - so when can I expect to see my iPhone 10? (Even though the iPhone 10 is last years model, I will accept it over my IDEOS)
