Another "not in my backyard" article this time from here in the HB. http://www.hawkesbaytoday.co.nz/news/taradale-cell-tower-stuns-retailers-02/1094469/
Good that they've started site construction here, But these articles just make me shake my head.

ROFL some people are just idiots the only way you'll get brain cancer from one of these is if you climb up and live on it for a year but yes it does look a bit out of place where they've put it I would have gone with down by the clock at the end of Taradale

The problem being if they put it down the end by the clock tower, people would complain it's ruining the scene.

IMO I think this will be one of those things, It will go up & people will moan about it for 2-3 weeks then won't even notice it.

Seeing as I live just over a km from this cell site I think I will have to take you up on your offer and buy a hat to protect all my family!

We're having a sale, $10 a hat, $10 bulk shipping. Made from premium Countdown tinfoil! You can't get that from your local New World!

Just fired up my IDEOS with 2degrees sim in it and searched for networks and low and behold 2degrees 2G was listed for the first time I've seen so I tried connecting but to no avail it had disappeared. Promising signs though!

Hawkes Bay and Nelson are getting networks really soon. Was mentioned by POB on the FB page.

Add Palmerston North to the list of "very soon" for 2D, well i tested yesterday and mobile broadband is working there faster than Telecoms, and worked in 99% of the suburbs as well :)
