Has the genius voip service been updated to daylight savings because when i set my phone to the correct time and the phone rings it sets it back an hour - or is it a config on the box?

In the modem config there's an option to adjust for daylight savings time, amongst other options (go Advanced Settings / Modem Time Settings). Try that.

Having said that, I changed the time on my handset on Saturday night and it stayed correct - even though in the router's config as above I did not have the box ticked and the time on the config page was wrong... go figure.

The modem does not appear to have been updated with the New Zealand daylight saving settings. My modem is still showing the time as GMT +12.

Sounddude is there a fix for this in the wind?

I've always had a similar problem on Orcon+, but if I recall I think my phone gets set to UTC.

Hi Guys,

Had a bit of a breakthrough on this just now.

After doing some work to my wiring which involved powering down the Genius unit i observed that the time had reset back to the beginning of this year.  After several days it had not updated at all which it should have done being that it appears to be synced to a NTP server.
On the time management page you have a drop down box to select the time zone. My unit was set to (GMT+12.00)NZ. I then noticed in the list an option for (GMT+12.00) Auckland, Wellington which i tried out of curiosity and about 30 seconds later the time updated to the correct NZ DST time. A quick inbound phone call and all my phones have updated to the correct time.

Can i suggest if you already have not done so try selecting this option and see what results you get.
