Hi

I have the Nokia 3710 Flip. I manually put the time in in. My Telecom phone would do  this automatically.

Is there a way to get my phone to do this as well.

2degrees supports NITZ which is the feature you want. Have a look under settings on your handset to enable it.

Back when I had an old Nokia 6120, it obtained the time and date automatically from 2D although I think there was a menu item to choose this as an option. This is something it would never do from VF.
