Anyone else noticing a massive speed increase on this plan. Just tested Filesonic, and I used to get around 200kbps on a good day, but at the moment getting around 1.5mbps downloading? Anyone know why, or is it just a fault somewhere?

You just alerted them to the fact that the throttling is not working correctly. I am sure they are working hard on restoring normal service now.

(Disclosure: I work for another telco, and this is a friendly dig at you, and them.)

Slingshot has very cyclical performance, I bet they have just brought on-stream more international transit...things will look good for awhile and get progressively worse until they are really bad and they have to buy more again.

Hi,

I would suspect that what you are describing is due to some recent upgrades and improvements our NOC have been making to the AYCE system and network.

Speeds may be a little up and down this week but the end result is hopefully exactly as you are describing, faster AYCE !
