Got heaps of emails from Orcon NOC yesterday about this:

*** Update*** Calling issue in Auckland

Update: Engineers have identified the cause of the issue and are currently working to resolve it. There will be further updates in 1 hour time.

--------------------

we are currently experiencing problems with inbound and outbound calls to Auckland.

UPDATE 13:55 - The majority of capacity has been restored, ETR for full capacity remains 1600hrs

Update: Issue extends beyond Auckland. May impact calling throughout NZ. Root cause has been identified. Hardware failure resulting in reduced capacity. Engineers are working to resolve. Additional capacity being added now. ETA to full capacity 1600hrs

-------------------

Calls will have no audio on both sides, engineers are working for a fix for this.

AFFECTED CUSTOMERS/SERVICES:

calling to and from Auckland which includes

-SIP
-LLU
-Genius
-any other toll bypass customers.

SYMPTOMS:

customer gets a recorded message to say "call is unable to proceed at this time, please try again later"

DURATION:

current, ETR: 1600hrs
