I have two 2degrees accounts linked to a credit card that's going to expire at the end of December. So far i've gotten one or two txts a couple of weeks back, two txts today, and email today.

I know my credit card is about to expire. I need to update the number in a bunch of places.

The bank replaces credit cards around two weeks before the end of the month when they expire. Until then there's nothing I can do about it.

I think the number of reminders is excessive, especially since I can't do anything about it yet.

I don't think I got any and mine just expired 11/11 . . .

Or maybe I did and then deleted them and forgot them, but certainly not lots of them.

Hope this helps 2deg sort it :-)

You should see what happens if your credit card fails to pay the bill...

EVERY DAY YOU GET A TEXT. Hi, we have noticed you have not paid yet... rah rah rah.

NO ... IT HASN'T ARRIVED YET.

or if you don't pay it because you forget.

I would rather a reminder than a failed SMS or a dropped call. You can't please everyone.

Just sayin'

Since 2degrees are still quite new I wonder if many of these things aren't things they set up, but are defaults on the software they use. They probably don't know it's happening.

I'm not complaining as such, i'm telling them about it so they can decide whether to do something about it or not.

They shouldn't cancel your plan for one missed payment....

I'd assume you would be able to use it until your credit limit was hit, then they would cancel it.

Incidentally, one of my accounts is for a sim in a mifi, which can't read txt messages. That account is set to email me, but to never txt. So either my main account is getting txt'd twice, or they're ignoring that preference.

The other funny thing I've found is the number 202, which is 2degrees number, is also Westpac's text banking.

so I have bank balances and angry reminders from 2degrees in the same thread on my phone hahah.
