Hi.

Could someone from Orcon please give the Usage Meter a kick? It hasn't been working since 30-Nov.

Thanks

Have you raised it with the helpdesk?

If you PM me your account details I can look at it for you.

Try restarting your modem first of all to see if that fixes it - if not, flick Paul a PM with your user name or account number and he can check it out for you.

Cheers,

Anyone else getting charged for Steam content? Some how Orcon screwed up and I ended up with 26gb charged and like 18gb uncharged when the only thing I downloaded that day was from steam. Same thing happened yesterday!

Hey there,

You may want to take a read of this:

http://www.orcon.net.nz/support/gfaq_page/important_o_zone_info_about_steam

Unfortunately due to the nature of Steam we can't guarantee all downloads you make will be zero rated.

Cheers,

Cam

Get your brother to check that Orcon is the "preferred" content server. I had a similar issue were steam content was download at a unbelievable slow rate it turned out I had Russia set in my settings.

NOTE: This dose not grantee you will always connect to this server however gives it a higher preference.

Also if you have packet loss cross your connection sometimes its possible to randomly connect to some weird servers, Steam works by sending a UDP packet to all the available steam servers the first to respond is the server you will connect to.
In Orcon's case the closest server is Orcon's however if there is packet loss you may connect to an external server.

Thats my 10c
