I've recently been changed over to Slingshot's Better Network

Lower price and more features/services so I'm happy

However I've noticed the time on the caller id is out by 13 hours - I assume this may have something to do with GMT and daylight savings

Running a fairly common Uniden 3315 cordless phone - I'm assuming the problem is at Slingshots end.

I've had a look at my account settings but can't see anything there that could be relevant

Any suggestions?

Maybe you need to set the time on your phone?

This thread might help.

In the interest of time saving, the last reply in this thread is from Scott Page of Slingshot.
He is telling people to also email him directly ( Scott.page@team.slingshot.co.nz ) if they have any issues.

Hi logo,

As cws82us has mentioned, it has been a known issue on our side for some time now. However, I have had a quick word with one of our Network Technicians and we are hoping to have it resolved some time early next year.

When daylight saving starts back up then the time on caller id be fix.
and then when savlight saving ends then we will get the same problem.

Caller id right now is one hr behind so this maybe why

Hi Guys

This is a known issue with the exchanges. It is a hardware fault at this stage and we are waiting on a new version of code for the MSAN's to fix this problem.

Thanks
Bevin

Same caller ID time problem (loses one hour) with a Panasonic KX-TG8322.

Luckily there's an option to ignore it, but nice to hear a solution is coming ...

Cheers,
Nick.

techmeister: Maybe you need to set the time on your phone?

That isn't possible on the standalone units, such as the telecom ones.

I gather it is a problem at Slingshots end.

Yea would be good to get this fixed. Ours is 13 hrs out ( or 11 not sure but the am/pm is switched as well)

When we set the time on the phone it stays until the phone rings

No wonder they are a free service as part of there bundle. Lucky I'm not forking out extra cash for it.

I guess this also effects the do not disturb call option.

May I ask what brand of MSAN's you use?
If I were to go on one of these, am I essentially  on VOIP for voice?

FYI, I had friend that was connected to one of these and he had a problem with our work Phone PBX's IVR
The DTMF's would not work, it always timed out and went to default location. Our work runs an Elastix server, using 2talk. I guessed it was their phone as no one else was having trouble.

I meant to investigate further but they had to go on Telecom wholesale and don't have a problem now.

Just thought you might like to know.
