I am trying to get online. after nearly 3 weeks of useless support staff who kept telling me "it should be no more than a couple days away, you will get a text when its online." so this last week after 8 phone support calls I finally managed to get through to someone who could tell what the real story was.

They were planning to switch me over to their exchange, but their exchange was having some sort of issue which would only be fixed late February. They were planning to just string me along with the bulls*** story about getting switched on "in the next day or two and getting a text" about it.

I have been without the internet for a week now. so anyway the guy I got gave me an option to switch to the Telecom wholesale network.

He said it would just be a normal switchover so it wouldn't take long. Putting what last little bit of trust I had left in him and chose that option. finally get the text and email today to say its all on. But it seems to have been a lie. Modem won't connect and I have been hung us on twice today after spending nearly three hours on hold.

Also, despite not one single byte of information being transferred to my modem from them apparently my bill is 122 dollars and 101 dollars is overdue. I am using my last few megabytes of data on my prepay plan to send this. Help please.

tl;dr slingshot have screwed me, are charging me for some thing they arent giving me, and won't take my calls.

Just to make it clear: you were not a Slingshot customer before, so this bills is just for services not provided?

Check the TDR process.

You will need to lodge a formal complaint, get a ticket number - better to have things in writing. If no outcome then go to TDR. All explained in the link provided.

I recently moved house and changed plans at the same time. The re-connection went smoothly but plan wasn't changed and as a result I got charged for data blocks that would have been included in the new plan.

Anyway, the point is I rang customer services, spoke to someone and within 10mins had a credit for the data blocks. I'm sure you could do the same.

if I was able to get through to ANY sort of support line maybe I could ask about that currently running at 2+ hours on hold. I will definitely be switching to a better isp within the next month.

I have got it working.
Thanks for the help. Turns out All I had to do was sit on hold for a bit longer.

You have the Internet working now? So it was just some configuration/settings? What happened? Please post an update - after all people in the same situation could be helped.
