hi, so my house just happens to be in the middle of a coverage dead spot, where my phone quite frequently loses coverage completely and i miss calls and texts.

Last night when I couldn't get onto 2degrees' network i tried to connect to the Vodafone tower, which i actually have line of sight too, by bunnings in shirley. Of course that tower is locked out by 2degrees for roaming.

I was wondering if either 2degrees would unlock this tower to fill the coverage dead patch or co locate on either the telecom or Vodafone tower witch i have line of sight to.

I realise 2degrees is a budget phone company but it would be nice to have coverage in my own home :)

You could report it to 2Degrees officially (like via phone or email). If it's only affecting you i wouldn't hold my breath.

It's interesting to note Vodafone roaming still works in Tauranga and it's been months since its become a broadband zone. But it's not very often my phone even selects Vodafone, as the signal in most places around Tauranga is a lot stronger from the 2degrees towers. You can lock your phone onto Vodafone and it will work(not that you would want to!)

it would affect everyone that lives around me. I'm not sure who's on what network though..

because even on the street the coverage is bad.
