I've been using my xtra email address, but since im no longer with telecom, i want too setup my email with using slingshot, im pretty sure i got it setup right

port 110
pop3.slingshot.co.nz
smtp.slingshot.co.nz

Keeps saying password failed i don't know if its the program or not

Using an ISP provided email address will make you more hesitant to change ISP's, it's a form of lock in. It's best to ween yourself off using it.

My advice would be:
1: Sign up for gmail
2: Enable IMAP in gmail
3: Setup Gmail to fetch email from ISP specific addresses into Gmail
4: Setup Thunderbird to access Gmail via IMAP
5: Setup other devices eg: Smartphone to access Gmail

I use gmail as my penis enlarger spam box, my thunderbird is sorted with slingshot so its all good now, thx for replies.
