Hi all,
Have been having no luck with setting up devices to send MMS while roaming on vodafone - it seems to work fine while on 2d network but as soon as it's on the Vodafone network all hell breaks loose and it doesn't want to do anything.

This has been on both apple and android phones.

I have checked and double checked that the APN settings are correct - any ideas?

You have 'Use data while roaming' turned off?

Hi Salty, yep data roaming and always receive MMS are both turned on.

Just saw on the 2degrees website that there is a new APN settings page (setting are still the same).  Also noticed that it's recommended to turn 2g off and only use 3g.  Could this have something to do with why it's not working?

Maybe salty could comment on the timeout period, It may be different while on VFNZ compared to 2D? - 2G can be to.. Slow... to use MMS at times

I don't remember it off the top of my head. It's long enough to send a full size message even on 2G though. 120 seconds? Something like that.

Anyone got any suggestions that might make a difference?

I'm afraid I have no more suggestions. I live out of canopy myself, and I don't notice any particular issue sending MMS while Vodafone roaming. Having said that, I don't really use MMS any more. It's cheaper to send an email, and you can send a much better quality image that way.
