Hi all, i'm writing this from Uni internet so unfortunately I won't be able to respond to any questions if they appear so I will try write out as much as I can and look at anything when i'm at Uni again.
My flat signed up to Slingshot's $90 Naked Broadband Unlimted plan and we received a text message yesterday around 3pm saying it had been activated. Straight away plugged in the modem however it couldn't pick up the DSL at all. Plugged in two other modems and they had the same issue (no modem issue is my point).
Rang up the help desk, they said to give it a few hours to maybe sort itself out. Tried again dismorning and have left the modem on and still no DSL connection has been made. Have tried using 3 different modem/routers (Linksys WAG200G, Linksys WAG160N and the standard Telecom Thompson one) in two different sockets and through different filters (so I could make sure the problem wasn't on my end.)
I have put the correct username and password into each modem's settings.
Anyway the problem I have now is Slignshot have advised me to lodge a fault however my flatmate, who is busy with work all weekend, is the account holder and he needs to do it. Unfortunately he's not back until Monday so i'm seeing if there's any work around I can do on here. (Uni starts on Monday so having Internet would be very handy ASAP for signing up to Tutorials, etc).
Anyway, as I said, I will try monitor this when ever I get a chance to get onto the net.
