mutalisk: getting worse ... T_T

Just to confirm, you are testing while connected by ethernet cable, not WiFi? And to be sure if you are testing on a laptop please turn WiFi OFF on the laptop to ensure it is using the cabled connection. Seems odd that with the new cable earlier you were getting 32Mbs.

When you say no-one else is home, I can see you have 7 WiFi devices, some of those can still be using WiFi bandwidth (if only to each other)....

OK, I've pushed this for the Assurance team to check the backhaul, I really can't see any obvious issue, where you are should be fine too but a localized backhaul issue is possible, I'll chase it up Tuesday....

hio77: give FireEngine your account number, its going to do you no harm..

Have it all now, just lost in the excitement I guess :-)

Lots of the time I can work out which account we are talking about (without too much stalking!), but sometimes not....

OK it looks like they have identified a bottleneck pretty local to you, give me 24hrs to get an idea of how and how long to resolve it....

Ok we have identified a handover port for upgrade that will resolve this, the vendor has just screwed up the first go at provisioning the resolution for us and we are awaiting a follow-on date, will be in the order of 2-3 weeks I suspect rather than days/immediately but we will get it done as soon as we can. As it is a port it is traffic/technology agnostic so not a gaming/UFB/VDSL etc etc specific issue.
