I've been considering making the jump to the new Telecom plans, so will watch this with interest.

As have I, to be honest if I am not getting close to 60gb I will probably still make the move to Telecom.

As long as they dont lock you into a long term contract like the 18 month one I was offered after my 12 month one ended.

Telecoms one will be very hard to beat. Telecoms support is also really good these days. I was able to get through straightaway on the phone and emails were answered within a day.

My parents Telecom plan just keeps growing... theyre now on a data cap that is 10x more than what they started on (3GB) , for no extra money..... theyll never use it, pity they live too far away for me to make use of it ;)

will be interesting to see what they come up with

the genius plans are currently pretty good at the lower end ($75 for 30GB) but not so much at the high end (130GB for $160 compared to Telecom doing 120GB for $105).

'normal' plans (i.e. including POTS) are well off the mark though, and have been for quite some time. I don;t think they have changed since well before Genius launched

Well, 30GB Genius is fine if youre in a local calling area...Im on Genius but out of local area calling so went with the 5GB plan and "free" calling instead.... so I hope they increase the 5GB to a minimum of 10GB, Id be a lot happier :)

Also as long as they don't try to force you to have Genius to get a larger data amount..

I'm just hoping that business customers get included for once.

Maybe they're planning to reduce the price to reflect that Orcon service doesn't include customer support?
