I'm having problems with the Freeview TVNZ channels (TV1, TV2,TVNZ 6, TVNZ 7 and TVNZ Sports extra).  Usually I get nothing but once I did manage to get them working but the picture was broken and the audio distorted.  I thought it may have something to do with the 50fps but the last three are just 576i.
The Mediaworks (TV3 & C4) and the Kordia channels work great.
Does anyone know what is differenet about the TVNZ channels that might cause this?
My setup is a Toshiba Multimedia Laptop with dual tuners, Dvbviewer 3.9.2 and Cyberlink codec

Hi I have pretty much the same issue. I have a Hauppauge Nova T-500 and I get all channels except for TVNZ (1, 2, 6, 7, sport Extra). I am using Media Portal to scan for the channels. I am pretty sure it is scanning the correct frequency (53800) but I wonder if the card is sensitive. If I use my G7503 set top box I get all channels fine.

I have played with the aerial to make sure I get good reception via the set top box. I have tried scanning using Waiatarua, Infill and the all NZ Zones.

Help!!

Are you sure your STB is tuned into the same TX site that you are scanning on the PC?

I'm only using a PC.  Two different programs give differing results
Both Find all the channels but

MediaPortal - will display TVNZ very broken up and Tv3 etc. ok
DBviewer - will not display TVNZ channels but the rest perfectly

I have mostly resolved my issue. I had just installed the drivers for the Nova T-500 and IR so I decided to install WinDVD which came with it. This has a whole driver component which I installed and now I can scan all channels. Still have crap reception on TVNZ channels though so I am going to get someone in to setup my aerial properly.
