A friend is having problems with DVB-T reception. He gets intermittent reception on his DVB-T card and thinks he has a decent aerial. So he would like a good installer come by and check it out for him.

Does anybody have any good experiences with installers in the Wellington area they could recommend.

In the interests of keeping this forum safe from litigation, negative responses are not required!

Hi, I finally responded to my wifes nagging and got my self a real job in an design office again, (designing school networks for the MOE's SNUP program) so not doing installation work anymore.

That said, for clients that I have done major work for (ie full house installs etc) I will continue to provide support, but out of work hours.

As for Welly installers, give GZ user 'Brunzy" (aka alistar) a call, and yes Goodfellow is another good independant installer.

Lester was the installer who told me, incorrectly, that a 90cm dish has no signal strength advantage over a 65cm dish: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=83&topicid=86477&page_no=4#491038

Cost was $450 for the new (carbon/plastic) dish + mount + his time. Not cheap.
