I find the response when using the remote poor. Pointing remote right at box I can see a light flash on box so know the signal got there but the box does not respond... at times it is good and at times it's not. Have not pin pointed exactly when or why it doesn't respond well at times.

dirtydutchman: Any find this box super slow compares to mysky box?

Can you let us know what parts of the unit are slow?

I definitely find it slower that our old MySky HDi. I will note down where/actions I find particularly slow and post also.
One in particular I find slow is in the library - watch something and then exit and delete is a slow process.

Thanks guys, I will send a report to the software team, I am aware that there will be a new remote which should be much better than the current which is set to be launched next year, however I'll see if I can get these bugs with the current remote sorted out.

Thanks heaps team!

Could you PM some product system info and serial number of the unit (The software team appreciates this added info the issues)

New problem which has happened twice now.
Have auto time shift on all the time.
Watching movie last night and unit had been paused for a while so fast forwarded past advertisements.
Push play and no sound. Hit stop and it would start playing live tv again with sound. Tried rewinding back to where we were and again still no sound.
Tried to hit library to start playing movie from time shift but it would not go into library to show me anything I have saved and came up with "no audio recorded" or something along those lines, I should have written it down at the time.

Couple other notes. It would be good if unit time shifted in the background and left display on channel # instead of showing "SH IF" all the time.

Will report on any other issues that arise.

Matt

Cheers Matt, could you let me know as you get on, I have a S8200 and have had none of the issues you mentioned above, but I'll keep a Summer Log so  I can send to the team in Jan next year.

In regards to the front display, I'll let the software team know about this as I have personally found this quite funny.

The EPG data is not supplied by us, this is the responsibility of Freeview, the S8200 should load listings within 2-10 secs,

I realise this.... but it's the s8200 not even loading when I hit the button.... normally it says loading on the screen. I'm talking no response to the remote commands even though the unit verifies a received command with a blink on the unit and a beep

but again if freeview is not providing the EPG pressing the button is going to do nothing isnt it?

the box cant provide a service that isnt being provided to the box

The help desk rep. at Netflix that I just talked to online said that they now have a Netflix app for the DishTV Satbox S8200. I haven't bought one yet, I have only been researching this, but apparently the app is available now if anyone wants to check.

I have to get back with the team on this as I don't know myself (I just called my brother who has a S8200 and he can't see any app) so I will need to confirm this for you on a Dish TV side/
