How can I record TV3 with Dolby audio? That's what I want to know. I can only get it to record in HE-AAC.

If it's just dumping the full TS to HDD then both audio formats should be there. It's just a matter of selecting the correct audio format on playback.

It would surprise me if it was only recording the HE-AAC audio format to HDD, most DVB recorders just dump the whole transport stream for the channel you're watching.

It's only recording one audio format, as far as I can tell. Trying to switch the audio on playback, there's no change - only one format.

This is a definate candidate for firmware update as using Audio button doesn't work but Options - Play Menu has the option to change which a bit more of a long winded way to do it.

I tried that with the option play menu thing. Still only HE-AAC format for playback.

Rechecked and definately works for me and the AUDIO button does as well. In the case of the AUDIO button there is no indication it just steps thru L,R,LR but second time round you're switching thru  DD5.1 stream.

I sent a support request in to Panasonic NZ about the audio priority. They're waiting to hear back from Japan. Hopefully it'll be a simple firmware update.
