This morning I turned the Panasonic DMR-BW850 on and first thing was a popup saying "New channel found".

For anyone using the Vantage HD6000T/NZ it's an easy re-tune. Simply go to Menu/Installation/Auto Scanning and let the process take place, then save when scanning reaches 100%. Prime will get added with it's correct name displayed in slot 10. I did this to both of my Vantages, and all timer events remained intact.

Here is a prime logo if anyone needs it. http://www.freeviewnz.tv/images/uploads/Prime_TV_107x35.jpg

And this file can be used for the rest of the logos and listing info (except 3 +1). http://freeviewnz.tv/epg_data.php

It also still points to the prime_7days.xml on TVNZ so one would hope this will be live by the end of the day.

cheers

Do you have a url in the XMLTV entry in gbpvr?  Rather than a local file location? If a local file, I just hacked the files to get prime in the system (did it twice for me, PrimeS being satellite, and Prime being terrestial). Then added the channel mappings.

What's with the disgusting bitrate? It's ~half of what C4 is. (DTT).r

Well the Prime EPG is up and running now I've got 8 days worth.

The picture is still much sweeter than standard Sky with component.

Cheers

Mediaworks have lots of spare bandwidth on DTH hence the high bitrate on C4. You should really compare the bitrate with Maori TV which is on the same multiplex.

Looking at the DVB headers here at the max video birate values

C4 - 771800 Bytes/sec
TV3 PLUS1 - 771800 Bytes/sec

MaoriTV - 414200 Bytes/sec
Prime - 414200 Bytes/sec

So Maori TV and Prime can peak at upto 3.2 MBit which is pretty good for SD H.264.

Interestingly TVNZ don't specify a max bitrate in the DVB headers for their channels.

I just used the Sky settings and that seems to work, I just miss out on TV3+1, no big deal.

Does anyone here use the Hills DVB-S Freeview box?
My olds have it, it didn't pick up prime over night and the only way I could make it find it was to use the Reinstallation options (complete channel search didn't find it)

WIN 7 Media centre. Full rescan picked it up no problem.
Zinwell ZMT-620 (with Hong Kong Firmware) rescan and now have prime there too.
Thanks SKY :)

Didn't seem to need a rescan on DVBviewer - Prime popped up on the Reserved 5SKD channel...
