Working fine for me. (Auckland Sky Tower, MEdiaPortal) And without MHEG5 support.

Had an idea of how they might 'force' MHEG5. If they play the video stream as per usual but do all overlays like scores etc with MHEG5 then that would require people have MHEG support to really know what's going on?

I would have thought that the content they buy would that stuff embedded in it though? But maybe not, especially if you consider that the content producer may want to cater for different languages they might provide a/v stream and subtext individually.

Failing that I just can't see how MEHG5 could be implemented as a content protection tool.

Or maybe you just have to have MHEG5 to get the FULL Sommet experience i.e. Banner ADs. I notice there is a nice black strip across the top of the screen. Do MHEG5 people get any content in the strip?

Just tried a scan in windows 7 MC and it's not finding it. Should it be? If so, anyone have an idea why it isn't?

Maybe it's your htpc telling you it's time to switch to MediaPortal.

And no, not ready to go to Mediaportal yet... :)

When is this moving to channel 14 or going off test loop or whatever?

There is live footbal on no England v Republic of Ireland. Feed is from Setanta Sports. SD looks pretty pixilated (Compared to HD sports on Sky)

Very impressed that we have live international football on Freview.

Well done Sommet!

I don't much care what the quality is like, if nobody else is showing it, I'll take what I can get for free.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
