when I left home yesterday I could see the prime tv schedule on freeview, but I couldn't actually view the channel itself!!! yet by the time I got home yesterday evening I could view prime itself and not just the listings :) so clearly there were a few wrinkles to iron out but it is all ok for me now

Is there any way to reorginise my channels virtually in mediaportal in channel order and EPG order?

i.e. Change it to
1
2
3
c4
prime

I tried swapping the channel numbers of Maori and Prime in MP server config however it didn't change anything in mediaportal itself

In the 'channels' tab in MP server use the up and down arrows to promote prime and relegate maori.

Thanks. Restarted, re-scanned and found it.

Only problem is when I try to watch it i get "no TV signal. there is no tv signal detected for this channel"

I get good UHF reception where I am too.

That's strange, if your other channels work on Freeview HD, just not your prime, I'd say it's the transmitter in lower hutt?

Mine is working well out in Tawa, plus i got a new 26" Samsung to match my 37", mmmm works well

Which transmitter in the hutt are you pointing at? I use Mt Kau Kau and have no issues with prime

Can you check your signal strength?
Also are you using an external aerial? into a splitter at all? check the ends of the cables are securely in the screw in connectors or crimped properly?

Does anyone know whether Sky will switch off their own broadcast of Prime on D1 and point their boxes to the Freeview one?

I very much doubt it. They have 3 regional feeds of Prime at present on D1 in addition to the freeview broadcast.

As part of the revenue arrangement with Kordia I belive that the freeview broadcast has its own advertising rate.
