mondograss: Hi Josh, Aerial In goes to the T2200, then loops out to MagicTV, not the other way around, so there's no reason why performance would be poor on the T2200, but OK on the MagicTV given the MagicTV was taking the loop feed from the T2200. I did have it completely stand alone at first, and swapped cables backwards and forwards between devices and it was no better. What I did notice was that when the problem happened, the Strength and Quality were bouncing around like mad and often hitting zero. And yet again I could switch over to the MagicTV and have perfect reception. Having said that since 1.1F I haven't had the same issues with it, but I'll keep an eye out.
I did have another issue though, which highlights the need for a trash bin on deleted recordings. I had Graham Norton set up on series link but happened to watch the recording while it was going, just a few minutes delayed. At the end of it, I stopped watching and came back to the library and pressed the red button to delete while it was still recording. It gave me the choice to Stop recording and discard, which I OK'd and it said it did it, but then I ended up with a line of hieroglyphics in the library where Graham Norton had been. I selected Delete again and was asked to confirm, which I did and it deleted a recording of 800 Words several lines further down (as well as the hieroglyphs).
So, not only is the trash bin very necessary, but it would be good if it could say "Do you really want to delete: Program Name, recorded hh:mm dd/mm/yyyy" just so you get the chance to be sure it's deleting what you want it to.
I am also finding myself missing the synopsis on the recorded items that the MagicTV has. It's quite a hassle with some channels like Choice where they often replay the same thing at different times, so you really want to know from the Library "Have I watched that one already?" Also for movies, I frequently record stuff that looks good, keep it for a rainy day and then completely forget what it's about.

stocksp: Quick question - for those of you with experience of both, would you recomend replacing a TiVO with a T2200 (quite interested in freeview plus) but very happy with the ease of use of Tivo
Jimmy22: When the Trash bin and the library sorting / to be deleted program naming are confirmed as patched i would swap from Tivo , probably not before , if it aint broke, dont fix it .

My thought exactly. My TiVo will be run until it goes no more - then I will cry - plus don't want the hassle of having to reload season passes/series links from new until I have to. That said I'm following this thread with interest as my parents have two TiVo's which have been running much longer than mine plus a friend whose Magic TV has been circling the drain for some time.
The T2200 appears to be the only box I would recommend to others or to replace my own without having to research the options before hand.
Being able to set up recordings remotely and stream recorded content over a LAN would be AWESOME and make this box a serious piece of hardware! Streaming between local boxes would be an excellent marketing tool too and may encourage some buyers to buy two or more units for the convenience of being able to watch the same recorded content on any of their screens in the house.
You can stream the current live channel over LAN to any HTML streaming app or computer, and I have sent in a personal request to see if this can include already recorded content.

At the moment, you can stream media over LAN (DLNA) from any device including the T2200 itself (It can retrieve files form computers and shared servers) The platform is now stable to use.
Streaming between boxes has been in talks and the software company is aware of this (At the moment, common bug fixes are currently in the line first) You can stream the current live channel over LAN to any HTML streaming app or computer, and I have sent in a personal request to see if this can include already recorded content.

Sounds great and appreciate prioritising bug fixes first.
One suggestion which is probably more involved and slightly off topic but has the idea of slave units been kicked around? By slave unit I mean basically a real cut down box with no HDD that would just stream content from another Dish TV or DLNA device. The slave wouldn't record anything as just does streaming from other devices but is the interface for other TVs around the house. The T2200 would in essence become the household "media server". Just a thought.

Sounds like a great idea, I'll pass this to R&D for future products.
