Pay per view events maybe. Delivered via the interwebs? That wod be cool for some of the bigger events where advertising can't provide enough cash.

mentalinc: I'm guessing it will be something like a home director where you can press the different coloured buttons to get different camera angles .

Really, given the current restricted bandwidth I doubt it.

Not every Freeview certified TV has ethernet or WiFi. The requirement is only MHEG5 as far as we know.

sommet: ... all we can say is that it will be great.

Naturally ... that's what anyone would expect you to say.

Tried to watch the Arsenal v Bradford game last night and have to say the picture quality was quite woeful. It made the old blurry ESPN picture look sharp.

I tried to find sommet sports on given 114 channel, tells me my antenna does not have the required attributes (or something like that).

Sounds like one of those projects that get off with a hiss and a bang and then get delayed for months, if not years...

What TV or Freeview receiver do you have? It seems that you have a non Freeview approved product otherwise you would receive the channel on 114

Tried on Tivo and the dishtv. Dish tv, although a shoddy piece of junk should be approved.  And anyway, I thought if I could get all the other available channels with a piece of freeview hardware, wether Tivo and the dish tv, or a chin-chan-chong from trademe, then I should be able to get Sommet - or am I completely out on a tangent?

I haven't been able to get it on any channel on my TiVo.

You will have to contact Hybrid TV and find out why Tivo is not working.  We know that all Freeview products work.

If I punch 114 into my Panasonic BWT720 I get the sommet channell. How ever, this doesn't work on my 32inch LG TV with inbuilt tuner or my Igloo box.

Well, Igloo isn't Freeview certified.
Is your LG TV?

Received 114 nicely on my Samsungg tv, my panasonic PVR/blu ray and my el-cheapo USB digital tuner in the back of my computer. Watched some AFL, I enjoy that every now and again.

I agree about the AFL. At first it's like watching a under 6's rugby game with everyone tearing after the ball but now I'm starting to get the hang of it.
