Jimmy22: ui is a good feature but i would need two 550's as i wont tolerate recording without playback , UI is not a deal breaker, if i have to work harder or think more to make it happen that is better than a total failure, i am often 5-6 weeks behind most series and never watch live .

I'm used to Sky. Record 3 and watch or play a recorded 4th. rare though, but it happens

UI wise I like Sky, it's big, simple and easy and quick. I'm, not bothered with fluff, gawdy colourways and klunky means to change channels or navigate, as I feel the Panny UI is like. PITB

record 2 and watch/play the 3rd on my MyskyHDI box

I can record 3 at once, actually that time a week ago I cant recall if I watched a recorded or not at the same time, we usually hardly watch live.

Jimmy22: Dish T2200 is $449 inc GST  freight fee last i saw.

The panasonic is pretty cool apart from its one fall down  ,  you cant watch a recording while recording two fresh shows, the processor is not grunty enough , i was so close to getting one :(

I'll need to see the UI of both

I can get some images for you

Not long now, our shipments arrive in 2 weeks then at the end of August you should start to see them being stocked at retail stores and online. We are currently making final touch ups to the software and right now I am updating the built in iManual as there have been some minor changes made in my demo unit over the weekend

Thanks Josh - It doesn't look like its an option right now but perhaps a suggestion for the 2200 Mark 2?

Liking it, a lot. Comprehensive, clean (unbusy)  viewing of channel programming. A great mix of Sky simplicity and colouring/features.

What is the 240v power consumption on full power and standby of the T2200 ? Can you add the answer to all your docs also.. many folks will want to know.. the pvr is the last vampire power user in my house and the next box will be a good one in this regard.

Would love to, unfortunately my receiver doesn't offer HDMI In/Out - perhaps due to its historic nature I can suggest an upgrade!!

It has coax, check if your amp has that, if not you can buy coax to toslink adapters.

LGSAM: The reason I ask is because my LG does not appear on the list of supported devices but I know if I set it to Australian broadcast service I will be able to turn on HBB and then re-tune to our free-view  Frequency . But I have no idea if this will work .

AFAIK the main difference between AU and NZ broadcasts is the DVB-T bandwidth. AU has 7 MHz channels; NZ has 8 MHz channels. The rest - DVB-T, EIT and MHEG 5 for EPG, and now HbbTV - is much of a muchness. If I owned your TV and FreeviewPlus support is not enabled in the near future then I'd start making a lot of noise on Facebook and Twitter, email and call support channels etc., because the only reason not to enable support would seem to be money.

I have just changed my 2014 LG to Australian broadcast location and turned HBB TV on  , re tuned  and reset GMT time and now have Freeview plus working fine , haven't noticed any bugs with it considering the way I have had to do this ,

I've managed to tune in the channels etc on my 2014 LG last night but the TV time is still set to an aussie state time zone, even when i change it manually I can't change the GMT offset. How did you do this?
