LGSAM:
Thanks that's the same as mine but mine is empty past the next 1 or 2 shows . I think I read somewhere that not all the guide info is broadcast outside the Auckland transmitter for that type of guide , I could be wrong. I would ask LG whats going on but I really don't think Ill get much joy .

I can get someone to answer that question, I'll have a chat to Freeview. LG might not be much use.

peejayw: Actually that rings a bell, think I have seen that mentioned here a while ago, will check.

If that is the case then how could Freeview give LG certification , or did nobody check if everything was fully functional .

Hi

Just got back with them, it looks like you are not the only one having this issue, Noel Leeming in Rotorua have been reported this and talks are with LG now to see what is causing the issue, so there's been a lot of background work into trying to resolve this. Please could you try retuning your TV and see if the channel data (listings) all appear.

Found this too.............

LGSAM: Hi , what do you get when pushing the guide button , I get a different style of guide which isn't too bad but only shows two programs ahead for most channels .

Are you in Auckland?
If not, I suspect that is why. The HbbTV guide must use EIT EPG data (as opposed to the MHEG 5 EPG data used by the standard guide). Full EIT data for all channels is available from all of the transmitters. However, data for the TVNZ and MediaWorks non-Auckland variants (Waikato/Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch) only covers the current and next programs. In other words, you should be sweet if you're in Auckland; outside Auckland, the HbbTV guide app would need to be coded/configured to look at the Auckland guide data.

Thanks for that, I have done a re-tune and same result

All right, I'll send that log through and what will happen now is that Freeview will have a chat to LG and will try and isolate that fault, let the forum know on here know if you have full listings, (It's hard for me to tell because i'm based in Auckland)

Ok, so I turned the Hbb setting on and I'm pretty sure it's safe to say the BOP can't see the full (current and Freeview plus listings) either. I'll see how the discussions with LG pan out before I try retuning to Auckland....

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

I have been talking to LG regarding the EPG not showing the full listings and they mentioned problems described as broadcast issues around your location I think , I dont know if I am having the same problems as you are .

I few weeks ago I asked Sony NZ about Freeview Plus for my 2014 TV (KD-55x8500B)
Here's what they had to say.

Thank you very much for your inquiry regarding your Sony Bravia. I understand that you would like to know if there would be any plans to activate Freeview Plus for the TV model that you have. It will be my pleasure to provide you with all the information that you require. As of this moment, Freeview Plus is enabled only in New Zealand for Bravia 2015 models but tests are currently on-going to certify the 2014 models as well. Once it has already been cleared by our Sony Engineers we will be announcing it on our website for our customers to know.

So, it's looking quite promising for these late model TVs.
