What time was this looking soft

I took a look at about 11pm last night at some of the MotoGP and the picture seemed reasonably sharp for a SD broadcast. Far better than the MPEG-2 SD streams in the UK.

It was earlier in the evening than that - but not by much.

I actually thought that it was just very slightly softer than usual, but no pixellation (which is what I have become used to with Sky SD broadcasts).

I didn't find it off-putting or sub-standard, but the only way i could really describe it was "soft - ish".

Watching the ITTF table tennis at the moment and it's much better quality than the MotoGP. Looks to have the full 576 lines vertically now.

Moto GP is not great. Too soft for me. I will check other transmissions to see how they vary

They said on Facebook they'd be off air from 5am-12pm and after that be on channel 14

Chelsea game looked good quality this morning, for SD, but noticed that there was no sommet logo, so is the Chelsea TV stuff 'untouched'?

Good news re the pic quality! I did notice that the onscreen graphics on the MotoGP did look a bit soft though. However, other SD channels look soft to me also. I guess I am used to watching HD and also the SD that has been upscaled to 1080i on One, TV2 and TV3.

Some odd values on their DTT multiplex at the moment.

The id Sommet Sports is currently a placeholder with no channel number or a/v streams attached

There is also a hidden PID with the A/V streams for Sommet Sports

Sommet Sports (0x2c97) 16:

We'll see how it looks after lunch time today.

Hi, there are some changes that need to be done to the SI which will be done by midday today.  We will then have an LCN of 14.

Cheers

Currently, the MotoGP is on. The onscreen graphics look pretty blurry/blocky. But the Sommet logo looks sharp.

How do you tune into this? Tried updating but no sports channel.

That's a satellite/DVB-S box right? If so, then you won't be able to receive Sommet Sports with it. It's only on terrestrial i.e. Freeview|HD via DVB-T/UHF.
