I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.
peejayw: My LG tv just received a firmware update and now the mini freeview pops up every time you change the channel which is a bit annoying, I will contact LG and see if this behaviour can be switched off.
LGSAM:
I also received the update , it still does not fix the guide app only showing the now and next info . It looks like you can adjust the time for the popup but not turn it off .

I had to get a new TV after the other one was stolen. The new one (UF770V) just updated to Firmware 04.00.16 and the guide works fine but maybe its different with webOS 2?
ruderger: I've got a Sony KDL-50w800C and FreePlus has been working since I got it a few months ago. It's ok, pretty slow to navigate, and I don't think I've actually been able to watch a full show (eg 7 Days), just freezes and buffers but never resumes eventually. I can only get ADSL, so maybe it's better on a faster connection. SkyGo and other streaming services are fine though, watched cricket for 3 hours with no problems on Sunday.
Does anyone else here have this TV? I did an update on the weekend, now the FreeView plus "popup" has changed slightly, it says to press the green button now, not read. And the mini guide pops up on every channel now, and we often get stuck with a "loading" banner on the middle of the screen that won't go away. Just me?

Does this still show or was this seen yesterday? I am in talks with Freeview and would like to know

AllenG: HBBTV has been available on Panasonic TVs in Europe since 2011 (VT30 models firmware V1.8). Probably the same with other brands as well
My P55VT50 has HBB in other countries firmwares so it's only greed that is preventing Panasonic releasing a new firmware with HBB support for Freeviewplus. It has supported it in other regions for years.
Interesting that in 2014 they released some TVs without official freeview certification but instead marketed as HBTV, so they can't even use the excuse that they need to get older models freeview certified, they skipped this in Aus.
