I have the same problem on mine.
It shows channel 2 has the epg on screen for channel 2 but the display is Parliment TV. It only happens randomly.
I also get no signal tuner 2 come up all the time and I have to switch channels and then go back and usually after 2 or 3 goes it is fine.
I have firmware 2.10.11 as that is the latest I can find. When I upgraded it made no difference to the PVR. All the same issues are still there.

Does anyone have a link to the latest firmware. The place I got mine only has 2.10.11

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The reason for the wrong channel is its not switching transponders for some reason. Since the pids match on various channels between the 2 Freeview satellite transponders it displays the wrong channel.

I think 2.10.11 was released back in Feb. You definetly need to contact your supplier and get a firmware update.

Supplier has been really good and back in touch again keen to get to the bottom of this (especially as two machines I have had are doing it). I will try to replicate the problem and note exactly what I am doing to get the wrong recording.

Thanks for the post Scott. As much as it is a pain haveing a tech problem, it is nice not being the only one with the issue ;). Have sent you a PM. Do you have any thoughts on what is causing it or does anything you do trigger it?

Thanks Apsattv for your help as well. I'll forward on your suggestions to the supplier and if I can get the problem to occur on demand I'd really appreciate it if you can replicate it at your end

Just checked on the http://www.lyngsat.com site and found that the CH4 VPID is 513 and the APID is 651. This corresponds to the VPID and APID for TV1 Wellington (I live in Tauranga). On a hunch I scanned through one of the wrongly recorded channel 4 programmes (where it had recorded TV1 instead) and sure enough, there were Wellington region specific adds (some plumbing shop in Tawa).
I can't think that anything I am doing would cause this?? Actually, what would cause it to do this on two different machines? Must be firmware right?

Yes firmware issues, there have been 8 releases since 2.10.11

Get the latest and see if the problem still exists

Tried the new firmware (2.10.54). Fine for a couple of days, but no success (set up a timer record for NCIS on 3, but it recorded U instead).
They have the the same PID's but separate transponders. I can't narrow it down to anything specific I am doing (it was only recording the one program, not trying to record multiple ones).
It doesn't seem to be an issue that is widespread, so not sure if it has been fixed in a firmware.
Any further thoughts??

Your options are:
1) Return the faulty product for a refund as it does not function as described and firmware to fix it apparently does not exist.
2) Put up with it until one day, maybe, a fix is released that doesn't also break some other critical function.

This is what I did with mine to fix it when it wasnt switching channels to start recording when set as a single tuner.

Via network ftp conection Delete the contents inside the VAR folder.

go to system recovery

1 reset configuration data
2 reset service data
3 delete stored position

then reset to factory defaults.

set the box up again.

0) follow the correct procedure to reset and clear the box.

its not the hardware or the firmware that is at fault.

Have done all that and am setting up box again. Have managed to scan in the freeview channels, but the channels are now all in the wrong order (1 is TV3, 2 is FOUR, 3 is TV3 +1 etc). how do I change them so that 1 is TV1, 2 is TV2 etc?

Hey there!  I have a Ultraplus F-9000HD and occasionally have the same problem, (among others Frown).

Could be hardware/firmware as others have said, but could also be system file corruption.  We often get power cuts where we are and problems often crop up not too long after those.  In fact this exact problem has just come up in the last couple of days, (had a power outage on Sunday).  My wife had Revenge set on TV2 but all we got was CUE.  Then this evening instead of Masterchef on ONE we got the static Parliament TV logo... great!

As has been pointed out the channels recorded are the ones with identical VIDs but on the other Freeveiew transponder.

Doing a full system reset usually does the trick... At least until the power goes out again Yell
