Would your EH57 have an analog PAL tuner by any chance??

Today in Christchurch was a special day CTV our local channel went digital on CH40 at 10.01am A mixed result, CH40 ,My small Panasonic TH- L32S25Z Audio, no Video. My other Panasonic L42U30Z Audio no video. I have tried retuning the digital tuner on both and no luck ! My Panasonic DVD Recorder DWD-XW390 , hey bingo the picture is brilliant CH40 was there with no tuning. What a difference, before the picture was snowy and shimmered a lot, now crystal clear. I rang Havey Norman and every Panasonic TV in there shop has the same problem No Video on CH40 So has anyone got a solution to the above problem ? Thanks M.O.Hely

Working for me, but what is annoying is the junk channels that they are transmit channel information for. I am in Christchurch and I have to delete tvCentral, TV33, Info-Rotorua, CUE, Dunedin TV etc. Not sure what the point in transmitting the existence of channels that are not in my area.

I would hazard a guess that you don't have a freeview approved receiver as they would hide these channels... So I guess your complaint is kind of your fault here?

As of about 1705 yesterday I could receive both vision and sound on my Panasonic.

The TV guide on my Magic TV 3600td personal video recorder is still having trouble with booking series, and as of this morning I couldn't get any listings past Friday night.

I have retuned the unit but this hasn't helped.

Any thoughts as to why this might be happening would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps the solution is Patience.

Stephen, thank you for that just to give everyone a heads-up there still seems to be problems with the Kordia mux (there is another thread about this) http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=83&topicid=115247
the problem has not been fixed as yet and has been on-going for the past 3-4 weeks

Ok here is my problem, I have a FreeView box installed in my car and all has been working fine up until a couple of weeks ago, when you do a auto scan it finds the TVNZ and Mediaworks mux on CH32 and 34 but when the tuner hits the Kordia Mux (CH36) it stops (as it should do) looks for the channels then carries on but has not detected the channels on that Mux. Now if I do this on manual tune the Mux is a solid 100% (CH36 594.000Mhz) it looks for the channels but comes up with nothing??
The problem is only with the Kordia mux. The tuner was working fine on the Kordia mux unit I went to retune for CTV. Have tried two other tuners and they are doing the same thing.

Interesting, just rang the guys at TCC even thought
I reported the above fault well over a week ago with FreeView TCC had no record
of it, they where very thankful I rang and are going to escalate the fault and
get someone onto it straight away......

I have quoted the model no for my old analogue receiver

I was referring to my Panasonic DMRXW380 twin tuners and freeview approved.
