Charging at a future date for something that is currently free is hardly a "special deal" me thinks.

I agree totally, grandfather just got a new tv and aerial installed for the digital switchover just for trackside now they turn around and do this, great $20 a month is a bit of a stretch on the super

Well people that are not happy that they are not getting free entertainment anymore can just get over it IMO.

Good riddance to trackside. I thought that the TAB got their own digital mux from them having an old analog one anyway?

Does anyone have the stream source url for the Trackside stream at the TAB website? seems that you need to register an account. But to view it you need to have credit in your TAB account.

The TAB are fools, where it their TV app, where is their tablet app? etc? where is their easy to access available to all webstream? Their customers have all died off and they have not attracted new young betters to replace them. They have not kept up with the technology..

Yes all very well for the haves what about the have nots, especially with the demographic being quite old. Pretty expensive for one channel which at the moment is not even 24/7. I hope you avoid TV 1,2,3,4 prime etc

I was discussing this today at work and its surprising the amount of older people who do watch trackside at home, some for background noise. others because they enjoy the live coverage (They are the largest live coverage provider in NZ)

my parents watch trackside all the time, whenever i go to there house its usually on. really silly to move it to sky IMO. would likely loose some bets because of it.

they need to make it stream for free on their website.

I agree. It's a bold move to walk away from your exsisting customer base without a "free" alternative.

So they are commong off the DTT( Kordia Mux) too?

WTV have DVB-T muxes in main centres on channel 28 transmitting carriers. Maybe the low bitrate channels on Kordia's mux will shift to it. T2 won't be used given new decoders would be required, I don't think that most TVs sold in NZ even have T2 capability.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Question is will it still be an unencrypted feed on one of sky's transponders?

If so it will just be a manual retune.
If not then it's gone.
So, online feed, will this be free or via isky?
