Handsomedan: Forgive my ignorance...does this simply mean it's coming to Freeview Satellite, or also Sky?

Hopefully both.

Why both??  Won't that be a waste of sat space..??

Take trackside for example. it's on a Sky Transponder FTA, both Sky and Freeview receivers can get that. :)

I think when TS went off analog Sky opened up TS on the sat..  That will come to an end soon as TS is going Sky only.

but with Sommet Sports they could do the exact same.. except all the time.

I did a scan this morning but just a blank screen where Prime used to be..  Guess I'll have to wait until it is launched..

And on their website "From 14 April 2014 Sommet Sports will bring free sports coverage 24/7 to every New Zealand household. Sommet Sport commences a new satellite service on Freeview."

Jaggy: I just ran it again & on 12456 I only get...

1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1926, 1927, 1929, 1930, 1935, 1936, 1941

Maybe it's down so they can add a proper channel name and epg data to it? and maybe make it HD? :) I'm not at home to see if it's up at the moment.

It won't be HD as a lot of what they get comes from Setanta which only broadcasts in SD.
