For the record, the TV has both composite and F type connections on the rear, and at present, (until I can figure things out), I've got the dish connected to my old set top box (Freeview), via it's satellite input, then out via the AV connectors (red/white/yellow RCA's) into the RCA's on the H5500. This is the only way at present, I'm able to get anything at all - but the quality isn't great!
So my question is - is it possible to remove the Freeview box as the H5500 has inbuilt satellite receiver, and if so - what's the setup? Cos' straight out of the box, it doesn't pick up any channels using the default settings.

Information on how to get the sat connection working should almost certainly be set out in plain language in your TV manual. There is probably some kind of wizard setup guide. But, you don't need to use the sat connection if you have a uhf aerial - you can use the terrestrial tuner built into the TV and get HD pictures (remember - there is no HD satellite feed from freeview)
What options does the TV give in it's setup menu for the satellite LNB?
Can you either take a photo of the LNB on your sat dish (it's box with the cable coming out on the end of the arm), or let us know what settings you use for the LNB on the external Freeview box.
Farcus: No terrestrial signal here at all - hence the questions about Satellite, and this is also why I purchased the H5500 with the satellite receiver - so that I could ditch the STB and just utilise the in-built tuner for free-to-air channels.
Runningman: When I set the TV up initially, I had the option to choose, a terrestrial aerial, or a satellite dish, or Freeview or Freeview Satellite. I've chosed just the satellite option, but I've also tried some of the others too - still no luck. The only time I got anything at all, was when I changed the LNB frequency from 11300 to 10750, and got the Sky test channel. So I'm kinda hoping that it's a setup issue and not very low signal strength as the TV reports after initiating an Auto Tune.
I'll see if I can get a photo of the LNB tomorrow morning and post it tomorrow night (I'm out during the day tomorrow). But my guess is that it's a standard Sky installation dish, as the guys who owned the house previously (2010) had a Sky subscription and no terrestrial signal.

Changed the Transponder to 12456 and switched the Tone (22kHz) to off - that did it! Looks like we've got the full compliment of Freeview channels - excellent - thanks so much guys!
So do I leave it on 12456, or will I get more channels on 12483 - don't want to be too greedy, but would like to know if it's worth trying.
