Repeated scans give 4 sets of different SIDs and VPIDs. You end up with 32 channel numbers or names. Names include CH9 Brisbane, CH9 Perth and CH9 Melbourne. There is 9Go!, 9Gem, Extra, 9Life, 9??? and a HD channel for each city name and two CH9 (City name). It is all mixed up. The best channel I'm getting with a 1200 dish is Gem and two of the CH9's. The HD channel is 1080 Mpeg H264 with AC3 sound and the others are Mpeg576 Mpeg sound. The CH9 city name feeds are different to each other. This means there are more than 8 channels there at one time. I'm thinking they are multiplexed some how or I just don't have the signal to get it all properly. I'm working o my 4.1m dish.
Also Channel7 have channels up on 12639 V 15000 again with a 1000mm dish. These come and go. There's the cricket 1080 up on 12429 v 7000. Also 900 dish from here in Christchurch.
So this is a heads up to the big dish sales people, if it lasts.

Re DVB-S2 I think yes for this TP. 12396v20106 The QLD channel7 stuff is still up this morning. The adds on 7mate are for Townsville. I will try an old DVB-S unit on this today a repost here.
Yes, looks like you do need to get that dish up and running... Large dish projects haven't gone far with me. So I'm interested in what your one there will receive.
Whilst the stuff about what you can get with a big dish is interesting - it is a bit off topic. The L-bird signal at 12382 3750 Vertical is still up and running and allows access to Australian Channel 9 for people in NZ with a standard Sky dish and a DVB-S2 capable set top box.
Is L-Bird Channel 9 stilling running on D1? I had it up until yesterday but now showing no signal at all (late last year when it was off the signal was there but only a black screen) now no signal whatsoever.
Just to close off the topic I raised in this thread about no longer receiving L-Bird 1. It turned out to be the the LNB - I swapped it for a new one and everything fine.
Interesting that the faulty LNB affected reception of L-Bird 1 and nothing else on D1. I cracked the old LNB open and it was heavily corroded precisely at the angle the LNB sits on the dish and that got me thinking that it would be a good idea to run a bead of silicon around the joints of the plastic housing of the new LNB as it is obvious that that rain readily enters the LNB through the casing joints.
