Sony 32's are available now, went and had a look at noel leemings, V and W are 1080P.

Tested my laptop with them to see if it would be good for media centre but it doesn't like doing 1:1 pixel mapping via HDMI unless you fiddle with a few settings on the TV (aspect ratio/sharpness/photo mode?). I could only get 1:1 working with 1080/50P and not 1080/60P.

Samsung 7 series will be out next month with freeview built in, as far as im aware there aren't any other differences between the 6 and 7 series.

You need to press home-> settings -> Screen settings -> Set to "Full Wide". or very similar off the top of my head with KDL40W4000

That will do 1:1 in 25, 50, 60. Works for me, test with DVI to HDMI and also tested 1:1 with monitor test software to confirm.

Cheers

Hi there.  Quick question and sorted a bit by above comment.

-How are you guys checking/confirming you have achieved a 1:1 pixel map.  Is there a simple test/proceedure/software etc?

Cheers.

Nokia Monitor Test (ntest.exe). Then use the moire pattern test (alternating black and white pixels).
