Lost: FACTORY RESET... When in menu, push right button til it gets to the last menu, it should say in there i think, but u need a password which i havent even attempted incase it locks it.
dang, doesn't help, mine is locked and i can't even get to the menu :(
Oh that sux, i don't have it in front of me cause i took to aunts, but i half remember it, did u read manual to c how u unlock? could always tell the guy u purchased off that theres a fault? make something up, lol
hey Chelle... did you get yours sorted? If i remember right.. I used the auto settings that were already there, the one that had Longitude-160.0, LBN1 10750, LBN2 10750, 22khz - Auto/on, and i think the DiseqcSwith or however you spell it was turned off, but think i turned it on.. This was from editing the already stored settings, i didnt" edit the satelite". The manual doesnt have any configurations at all, it was actually useless.
Hi Still fiddling with it, still no use. Restored factory settings again, shows all the channels but still only gets sbs. Can't find where you change the lnb setting (user/universal) etc. Usualy the problem on a lot of boxes specially as I have different dishes Also does not seem to be an option for any other satelite (D2) A pain without the user manual Chelle
I had to fiddle with the aerial cord... i went to TP scan (i think its called that, the very bottom one after blind scan), it shows you the signal strength and quality, when it was strong.. id quickly go do an auto scan with the settings i said previously, then i saved them once they popped up. Will be visiting auntys tomorrow, so i'll check everything i've done to get it set up.

xarqi is right. It only picks up V channels not H even though they are pre-set. Scanned, even created new satelite but only "V" So......how do you change it? Menu is useless...still cant find how to change LNB mode. Sure that would fix it as it does on other boxes. Wonder if thats why they sold it. Almost new second-hand $30.00
When it was installed I had to change my box lnb mode from "universl" to "user". That was all and away it went. Sure the same applies to this Jinya but can't find anything on the menu.
Thanks everyone for your advice etc. I think the biggest thing I have learned is stay away from cheap stuff like Jinya. A sat box where you have to change the dish to suit the box is pretty much useless. Have just put it back on Tradme and got a dollar more then I paid for it. For what I have learned plus a dollar I consider very good value
Yeah, stick to brands we know i guess, MY ones a DishTV, and its been working good for the past 3 years (purchased 2nd hand off T.M). On the freeview.co.nz page it has a list of recognised Brands which I'm guessing are the better ones to buy, didnt see Jinya in the list lol
